Upcoming Events

The Alumni Association organizes a variety of events that bring alumni together to connect, network, and reminisce. From technical events (conferences, fireside chats, panel discussions), formal galas to casual gatherings, these events provide alumni the opportunity to extend their professional networks, catch up with old friends, meet new ones, and get involved in their alma mater. Whether it’s an annual reunion or a one-time event, IITAA  is dedicated to creating meaningful experiences for alumni.

Indian Institute of Technology

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are a group of autonomous prestigious engineering and technology-oriented institutes of higher education established and declared as Institutes of National Importance by the Parliament of India. The IITs were created to train scientists and engineers, with the aim of developing a skilled workforce to support the economic and social development of India after independence in 1947.

Each IIT has autonomy and is linked to others through a common council called the IIT Council, which oversees their administration.
