The Objectives of IITAA, as given in S4 of its Constitution, are to:

• Represent the common interests of all alumni of the IITs and raise their profile
• Network with Global Pan IIT – a global network of IIT Alumni Associations
• Provide a common platform for IIT alumni and professional organisations in Australia and New Zealand region for mutual benefit
• Provide a forum for sharing information and networking opportunities by the member community
• Raise the profile of IITs and IITians within Australia and New Zealand
• Contribute to the local community, business and industry in whatever means practical
