Michelle Ash Michelle Ash, CEO of Dassault Systèmes GEOVIA, has made significant contributions to the mining sector with a focus on Innovation Strategy, Technology and Digital Transformation.
Previously she was Chief Innovation Officer at Barrick Gold Corporation. Michelle was named to the 2016 list of “100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining” by Women in Mining UK and won the Technology Innovator of the Year Award by Mines and Technology in 2019.
Preeti Bajaj Preeti is the CEO of The Adecco Group Australia & New Zealand, brings her diverse expertise in business development, general management, operations, strategy, and transformation from a mix of companies including Brookfield Multiplex, Metcash (Top 100 ASX), Intuit Real Estate Solutions, Vision Software and Schneider Electric.
Her experience spans software, construction, retail, and industrial technology and in 2011 Preeti won the AFR’s Young Executive of the Year award. In 2017 she was awarded the Scholarship for the Authentic Leadership Program to Harvard by Chief Executive Women.
Gavin Yeates Gavin is an industry leader in Geoscience, mining and technology. Building on a 35-year career with BHP where he held senior executive roles as Head of the global group-wide technical functions including geoscience, mining, metallurgy and technology, and developed and implemented at scale the Integrated Remote Operating Centres, Autonomous Haulage, Autonomous Drilling, and operating technology refresh.
Since leaving BHP in 2016, he now consults with mining and METs companies, Governments and research organisations. Gavin is currently chair of the Premiers Research Industry Fund consortium in South Australia and has contributed at the Board level for CRC Ore, the AusIMM and AMIRA. He is currently the interim Chair of the Copper for Tomorrow CRC bid.
Prof. Michael Goodsite Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Michael E. Goodsite is Director of The University of Adelaide’s Institute for Mineral and Energy Resources. He is the research director for the 2022 Australian National Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) Bid 'Copper for the Future' and bid leader of the Hydrogen CRC Bid.
He currently is an elected councillor of The South Australian Chamber of Mines & Energy (SACOME) and appointed by the Danish Minister of Energy to the Board of the Danish National Energy Technology Development and Demonstration Programme (EUDP).
Sumit Sharma Sumit is the Managing Director Resources, Digital Plant and Industry 4.0 at Accenture. He is a seasoned technology transformation leader with around 25 years of experience across resources industry. As a passionate technologist, Sumit has led many large technology-driven transformations across the large global mining and energy sector in operational technology, Industry 4.0 and digital space.
Coert Du Plessis Coert is CEO of the world’s leader in productivity outcomes for open-pit mining, MaxMine. Previously, Coert led BHPs global digital transformation, innovation mine and then BHPs global data strategy and agenda. Prior to BHP, Coert was a Senior Partner with Deloitte leading the data analytics practice specialising in machine learning and application in energy and resources.
Anagh Kohli
Anagh has been commercialising and delivering innovative technologies in the resources industry for over 15 years. In his current role at BHP, he has been advising on development and implementation of strategic opportunities aimed at disrupting existing mining practices, reducing emissions, improving throughput and grades, making decisions and mining autonomous and above all sustainability of mining operations. He led and wrote Partnership strategy for Value Chain Automation of entire mining operations for BHP.
Anagh has an Executive MBA from AGSM, UNSW and a Dual Degree (Masters and Bachelors of Technology) in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Bombay.
